While many main stream physicians may remain skeptical about the use of HCG in
the treatment of obesity and weight loss, medical conferences are offering lectures
and training on HCG Diet/Dr. Simeons protocol. This topic is usually greeted with a
lot of enthusiasm at medical conferences. In 2010 Dr. Bissoon attended the ACAM
annual conference and during the open session where physicians can ask questions to a panel of speakers, he reported that the topic of HCG dominated the session.
Medical conferences which offer Continuing Medical Education Credits (CME)
are certified and approved by the American Council on Continuing Medical
Education. Each State Medical Board has different requirements as to the number
of CME credits a physician must complete between licensure renewal periods.
Physicians must meet the minimum amount of credits to renew their licensed. With
this in mind, CME’s obtained by physicians attending medical conferences where
the HCG Diet is taught can use these CME credits for re-licensure.
The number of physicians offering HCG treatment for weight loss is quickly increasing. It is important for patients to know their physicians did receive the appropriate training prior to offering this service in their practice.
